What We’re Listening To
Tonight I have been listening to the Raising Sand album by Robert Plant and Allison Krauss and I just had to write a post about it. Josh got the album from his Ars Secret Santa in December and it’s become one of my favorite albums. I love the harmonies and slow, relaxing beat to most of the songs. I enjoy listening to it when I’m folding piles of laundry in my room, practicing calligraphy, or just winding down at night.
Now, how this fits in with Mary J Blige’s Growing Pains, I don’t know. That’s another post.
(Edit by Josh: Here’s a link to a playlist of a couple of songs from Raising Sand you can listen to. You can search/browse for a whole lot more on seeqpod.com.)

Yeah, I need to rip that album so I can listen to it on my phone/at work/in the car.

Interesting. I have this CD and I’ve listened to it once all the way through. My first thought was that I didn’t like it. But as I neared the end of it, it started growing on me. I decided that I definitely needed to give it another shot because I felt I was missing something to the music. So i’m glad you posted about this Rachel, it confirmed what I was thinking.

Allison Krauss’s voice gives me diarreah. Sorry, I should listen to the music before I make rude comments. Can Josh post a sound clip of the song? Rebecca told me you are an Alisha Keys fan…me too. Whenever I hear the superwoman song I think of you. Rock On!
